  1. GenerationGapGaming: Hope you enjoyed the video. Some people have asked for our email in the past and feel free to contact us anytime at generationgapgaming1522@gmail.com
  2. Thomas B: Cieje3 whenever I see people holding controllers in movies i wonder if they never played a video game in their lives or if it’s direction, because i can’t think of a pre 2000 example where their grip looks natural.
  3. Thomas B: NES 83’ that was $1.00 / minute if I remember with an initial call fee. It would be interesting to get a hold of one of their game guides or meet someone who worked in the call center.
  4. CubanPete1990: You know what back then in the 80’s they should made a sequel out of this film call'ed The Goonies (1985) so they might call'ed it The Goonies 2 in search of the mysterious island (1986) so they can bring back the same actors like Sean Astin as Mikey Josh Brolin as Brand Corey Feldman as Mouth Jonathan Ke Quan as Data Jeff Cohen as Chunk Kerri green as Andy Martha Plimpton as Stef and two new Goonie kid’s name Winona Ryder as Malinda and Leo O'Brien as Joey but they will bring John matuszak back as Sloth even they will add Evil Villains like Christopher Walken as Martin the leader of the Modern day Pirates even Nicholas worth Brion James Randy Savage Louis Gossett Jr Reb Brown Robert wall as the henchmen and Sean Young as the hunch lady & even they will add Stop motion Dinosaurs like T-Rex Triceratops Brontosaurus Stegosaurus Pterodactyl Dimetrodon Ceratosaurus Tylosaurus Woolly Mammoth and even the White Pango (a.k.a The Giant Gorilla) but The Dinosaurs and a Giant Gorilla ape are going to be stop motion animation that they are going to be made by David Allen and even Animatronic by Randall William Cook Special Effects by Logan frazze Sloth Make up artist by Rob Bottin Music by James Horner Writer by Philip Kaufman Screenplay by Chris Columbus Producer by Ivan Reitman Directed by Kenneth Johnson so that way The Goonies 2 in search of the mysterious island will came out in the Fall Of 1986 up against Star Trek 4 the voyage Home!
  5. WarlockX4: 12:26 found mullet boy on the cover of the konami man manual
  6. Stacy Pare: Love your channel...btw my old user name was Stacy Pare. we've talked before about Friday the 13th nes game if you remember? Since you love that game like i do.. wanted to tell u i just got an autographed Nes jason pic for xmas. It was autographed by the first jason from the films 😁
  7. NPC 5667364256: Best comprehensive review of this game on youtube.
  8. DARK DRAKONIS: oh man... the fact that someone needed a guide for this game shows how shallow games are now where gamers are unable to solve riddles and search for everything
  9. DARK DRAKONIS: or you could do like I did when I was 8... figure it all out yourself :)
  10. moonboogie N8: I knew a kid back in the day that held his NES controller exactly like that guy did. Used to bug the hell out of me. But, to each his/her own I say.....
  11. Mr_Trickster: Your narration is fantastic. Consider me a subscriber.
  12. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks so much. Welcome to G3!!!!
  13. Alan U: Mullet Boy is Goemon lol
  14. George C.: i suck at this game. the map is more confusing than the Friday the 13th map, for me at least.
  15. Greg Atlas: Thank you for mentioning the Commodore 64 version. I never made it very far in it as a kid, but it was great fun and the music was great.
  16. Santiago Lisandro Capellan Medina: I got this game and the NES at the end of its life (it was 1993 and SUPERNES was the new thing). It was boring for a long time (2 years to be exact). Everything changed an afternoon when, bored, hit a wall with the hammer and suddenly a door appeared. Then, I finished it next summer vacations. Thanks to NES games, I learned to write, understand and speak english (I had a dictionary spanish-english to understand the game word by word [I live in Dominican Republic]). Great memories!
  17. Santiago Lisandro Capellan Medina: Welcome! Just a little piece of advise: there is more life outside Punta Cana 🤣
  18. GenerationGapGaming: So awesome to meet you man. We are actually gonna vacation in the Dominican Republic for the first time this summer!!! Thanks for commenting.
  19. John Paul: Loved this game! Has everything.
  20. jfunk513: I got the NES Players Guide with my NES back in 88 it was just a core system with no games or light gun but had the book instead.
  21. Jay Hiro: I love this game so much. My brother and I probably beat this one together 10 or more times. Back in the day we did everything together, and we didn't have much so we beat our games over and over again. Thx for all the videos you make, they help me relive the good times of my childhood.
  22. GenerationGapGaming: Nothing like playing with family and yes we definitely cherished our NES games back then. Thanks for the kind words Jay!!
  23. Raven Darkmoon: Great video. This was the second NES game I finished as a kid. The first was another Konami classic, Castlevania.
  24. GenerationGapGaming: Two great games there man! I love Castlevania too! Plan to do a video on it eventually.
  25. consciousnick -: Careful not to lose boomerang
  26. Thomas B: Another great video
  27. Thomas B: GenerationGapGaming no problem, your videos are very nicely constructed, it looks like you put a lot of work and passion in their production. Independent people like you are putting out content that fans love much more than the work of professional TV studios. Thanks for making this great material, it’s an achievement you should be proud of for the rest of your life.
  28. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks so much Thomas. Appreciate you taking time to let me know.
  29. Will0928: I beat this back in the day, without a guide. For real. Took months.
  30. Doctor Handsome: I too thought the game was supposed to be a sequel to the movie. I think part of it was that the box art was in the style of a Drew Struzan movie poster.
  31. Will0928: Ouch! What do you do?
  32. pavo6503: Goonies was also one of the games available in the Nintendo Vs. cabinets. It was extremely popular in my local arcade when I was a kid.
  33. avenger007007: You have to slap the hell out of an old lady to get a candle?
  34. Zediah Timmons: I never found the mermaid locator so looking for her hard
  35. Jason Rodriguez: I love this game. I played it until I beat it on my own when I was a kid
  36. Ryan Richards: I played a stand alone arcade cabinet version of Goonies at the M&W Market in Boise Idaho 1986-88. I could play the whole game on one quarter before I went to school.
  37. Andy Lewis: I saw the mullet kid!!! He's in with the Konami Superheros!! YAY!!!!
  38. Zach hm: I remember renting this a lot. Trying to beat it. Finally did about 10 years ago with help of the internet.
  39. Boogaloo Jones: Keep em coming!!!! Love the 8 bit content/info brother!
  40. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks man. Glad you are enjoying it!
  41. Joe Friday: I had this game. I never even realized until now that it was Goonies II and not just Goonies.
  42. Chris Fryda: Seriously love your videos, thank you!
  43. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks Chris. You are most welcome dude!
  44. h: They discuss the rotary engine in My Blue Heaven too lol
  45. Ryan M: Oh WOW, I TOTALLY forgot about the computer version of this game until I just watched this Tyler. I played that thing for hours on a Commadore 64 that my older cousins had I think, it's been a while and I was like 7 or 8... Shows my age haha, love seeing videos like this that bring back old memories. We used to frequent Daytona Beach every summer as a family vacation, and all the arcades there had the Playchoice-10\Famicom Goonies, which I dumped at least 1000 quarters into since first discovering it. I've played all the games in this video and loved them all, great job on this man!
  46. GenerationGapGaming: Really enjoyed reading your comment here Ryan. Thanks for sharing. I had played a few playchoice 10 machines as a kid but for whatever reason I overlooked Goonies on there lol. And I would have loved to have the C64 version. Thanks again!
  47. TheRetroDudeAbides: Also, the original Goonies Famicom game was on Nintendo's Vs. System hardware as well under the title "Vs. The Goonies". Like with a lot of Vs. System arcade games (especially the other Konami ones), this one was harder. Mostly in at least the fact you took significantly more damage when hit than even the PlayChoice-10 version.
  48. wannab009: classic game, it took me and my cousins at least a month of play time to beat this game, lucky enough to still have the original cart we bought from walmart
  49. Juan Cabeza: Bought the first Famicom Goonies game thanks to this video. Little by little my Famicom collection is growing thanks to recommendations from videos like this on YouTube.
  50. Antonio Rodriguez: I really enjoyed the colorful "Pro Tip" lettering.
  51. Christopher Rowe: Just wanted to mention that the bowling alley I grew up near, always had a 2 sided sit-down arcade machine with Goonies 1 in there. Back in the days of Funcoland, I would wonder why I could never find it.ha
  52. Dennis Macz: 12:26 mullet boy not sure where in order i seen it but ..there you go.
  53. William Elliott: Curious as to what the background synth music is in the majority of the video? Thanks, and great job! Love the structure of the videos.
  54. William Elliott: GenerationGapGaming thanks! Like you, I try my best to “represent”!
  55. GenerationGapGaming: I believe its called 80s synthwave. I bought the license on the envato market. Love that hulkster avatar btw bruther!!!
  56. phenom_ 1986: Tyler! My dad had the goonies game on nes. I remember watching him play but never beat it. Do you have a Goonies 1 secrets revealed video?
  57. Damiano: 2:40 たすけて translates as Help me. The look on her face says it all though.
  58. Eener1000: Goonies II wasn't really a great game, but the music, the many items, the cryptic and hidden stuff made this game feel magical and much larger then it actually was.
  59. J. M.: The "Auxiliary Scene" at 7:13 looks like a clone of the one in The Legend of Zelda.
  60. havenamenone1: 12:26 Mullet Boy. Right above Mikey
  61. DarthEquus: Ambassador Konami appears to be a reference to one of Tezuka's characters, Ambassador Magma. The live action series was cheesy, but fun for its time.
  62. darkfalzx: Arcade Rygar came out a year earlier, and featured a yoyo-like weapon: )
  63. dust brum: That game the cop plays looks a lot like TMNT
  64. chaseman94: My favorite memories about this game are the first time I played it at my cousin's house on 4th of July 1989 2 months after I got my own NES Power Set my mom bought for me because I had good grades in 5th grade and my 2nd favorite was when my mom's ex-boyfriend surprised me on New Years Day 1990 with a copy of Goonies 2 and Castlevania 1.
  65. William Harrison: I loved this game
  66. David Romig: Great video. I loved this as a kid. I got it when I was 11, and had it mastered in a year or two to the point where I found a basic path to beat the game with all items that I still remember when playing. Your tips for finding stuff is the same routine I used as a kid. The only things I clearly remember not finding on my own where the transceiver and that dang candle. Seriously, the game punishes you for beating people up (by way of Konami Man refusing to heal you for life) and you are expected to strong arm a lady for a candle with 5 punches with no hint that the punches are working until they do. Sigh. The transceiver involves knocking on a back door. There are 1 or 2 fire/bomb boxes hidden this way too, but since almost nothing was hidden this way, I stopped knocking on back doors and missed the transceiver until I read about it.
  67. David Romig: Oh, I recommend saving the sling shot for the suspension bridge to protect your boomerang from the those dang lockjaws.
  68. firecad2006: My dads favorite game ever
  69. bdscavenger: i never knew about the candle, football helmet & the konami ambassador. i love how the game end, brings me to tears
  70. bdscavenger: the beginning music is what got me the most. i could tell that it sounded like a cyndi laper song, but i didn't know about the actual song, good enough, till 2009 by accident when i seen it on youtube
  71. The Party Source Reviews: I bought this game in 7th grade from Walmart for $20. It took me about 6 months hard playing, but I beat it. Even without a walkthrough. Loved this game so much. To this day I still cannot find the walkie talkie. Cheers, -J.O.
  72. The Gaming Corner: One of favorite games. Took me years to beat it, but thanks to passwords, my cousin and I did it in 1992.
  73. The Gaming Corner: But oh so fun. Never got tired of it.
  74. GenerationGapGaming: Awesome you finally beat it man! This game is really tough.
  75. Evolved Myst: I beat this game as a kid, and still have it along with the Nintendo player's guide. I remember hitting Konami Man by mistake, and not getting energy refills anymore or going straight to get the early hyper shoes. My favorite part was using the diving suit, and using the unlimited harpoon.
  76. GenerationGapGaming: Yeah Konami Man dont mess around lol. Happy to hear you beat it as a kid!
  77. freakytea: I remember being SO excited when I found the diving suit as an 8 year old. Ahhhh, the nostalgia....
  78. Kitfoo: Loved Goonies 2 back in the day. I still play it once in a while on an emulator. Gotta have the downloaded maps though! I think the most frustrating game I ever played was Bionic Commando. It's like Goonies 2 on steroids as far as difficulty and confusion.
  79. Vitamin Ex: The Goonies II Pachinko machines are in development as we speak.
  80. Liana Verwood: Ambassador konami looks like the golden robot from the manga and anime from the creator of astroboy/ the mighty atom.
  81. Cedric Lallain: Great video, few disagreements: - Goonies may have been the first game using the yoyo, but to me he got somewhat inpired by Rygar; when I saw goonies I was super exited as a kid as it reminded me of that arcade game. (I admit, I was first disappointed as it wasn't what I expected, but then I fell in love with it) - Game back then were not impossible to finish, I finished this game as a kid... the difference with today: well you have usually one game to play at a time, so you're not distracted by other game if this one happen to not be trivial.
  82. Jesus Christ: I shit you not... I was already thinking of the music for this game when I clicked on your video....
  83. Jerakk30: It's a shame that the new owners for the goonie house don't allow people on the driveway to the house anymore =( Used to love going out there and just sitting there remembering the good times watching the movie as a kid. Too many people leaving trash, destroying the driveway, being a general nuisance... I understand where the owners are coming from.. but it's still tragic.
  84. Explore Southwest: This was one of the best games and best movies of the era. And the music was definitely the best part of the game. I get bored replaying the game now but I just want to listen to all the different levels and sound effects.
  85. Tom Piner: I still have my Goonies 2 NES cart.
  86. CtrlAltPhreak: Great video as always, man. Keep it up!
  87. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it. Starting the research for the next video soon
  88. Leon James: I played Goonies 2 into the ground when it came out. My grandma always told me I'd ruin my eyes sitting so close to the T.V. . Miss you grandma and thanks for letting me play on your T.V. .
  89. Loren Helgeson: I had that Nintendo Player's Guide as a kid. It was the only way I could beat this game, or find all 255 missiles in Metroid.
  90. Dan Jackson: Goonies 1 also had a standalone VS Goonies arcade cabinet (VS Arcade System), prior to the Playchoice 10. That's where I played it.
  91. Micah Mcgaffin: I owned Goonies 2. It was not good or fun. Also the Lauper song was just Good Enough. She never even says Goonies anywhere in the song.
  92. Arutima: How did you know that i still have that song in the head after 32 years? https://youtu.be/7BLw91xljQ8
  93. davidevgen: i could never figure this dang game out when i was little would always get stuck it was still fun to play though :P
  94. SinisterSally: I remember Goonies on the AppleII. I think i got to the third screen before giving up, it was too hard for my 7yo brain.
  95. Jesse Anderson: Man, I remember pouring hours into this game as a kid and the cart remains in the collection to this day. What was the deal with Annie being a mermaid at the end? lol
  96. chrono1220: It's criminal how underrated his game is. I own a complete copy. Received it as a Valentine's gift from my mother back in 1988.
  97. Christian Perez: i pass that game when i was young (9years old) i was lucky haha
  98. Stormerbuzz FyfEnDertig: I grew up with the Famicom Goonies game on a multicart lol
  99. Digitalbooty: A cover of a cover. Hope you like it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoEa2qiJ4is
  100. nate joe: Hi you guys
  101. nate joe: Oh wow you get to play a sloth the dude that likes the candy bars nice
  102. nate joe: Yes I liked it The Goonies movie I watch that so many times but I never played the game
  103. 202eyeballing: Memories!!! Memories!!!! Don't know if I want to smile or cry!😂😢😊
  104. Owen Fitzgerald: Does anyone else know of any games of movies that have sequels but yet there was no sequel to the movie, just as this does? Thanks.
  105. BIZCUITZ 35: Mullet boy lol at 12:26
  106. Jeremy Lee Potocki: Uh before The Goonies was released in the Playchoice 10 machines it was release in the VS series in 85-86 I remember playing it at Aladin's Castle and one of our local Grocery Store in my home town back in early 86 (it was right next to the VS Excitebike) man those were good times..... but any way the only difference from the PC10 cart version was the VS in the title screen.
  107. Gabriel Contreras: Didn't get to play this when I was younger, looks great and the music seemed awesome. For me the best music has to be Silver Surfer... the game itself...not so much :-/
  108. warr malaski: Beat it with out a manual at abut 10 years old . You just keep pugging along and you get there in abut a week.
  109. Joseph Duncan: They did release Vs. The Goonies on arcade in the U.S., was always surprised they didn't release it here.
  110. Retro Gecko: Love this game!  Beaten it a few times and never realized the Hyper shoes could found elsewhere.  I always thought that spot on the bridge was the only place you could get them.
  111. Chaosnaut: Back in the 80s, lots of films used Pac-Man sounds as generic 'computer' sounds. Also, I saw early NES commercials in which people held the game pad in funny ways.
  112. Kitsune Baka: Renting a game from a movie shop... This generation will never know that joy.
  113. Waxifari: Awesome video man. Now I don’t feel so ashamed having not completed it back in the day.
  114. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks man. Don't be ashamed its a very hard game indeed. Thanks for commenting.
  115. edr777: Very memorable game. It had some bad points such as no bosses...but oh yeah that sound track is incredible! I still pop this one in the NES every now and then. I do recall once seeing two Ma Fratellis and another two of the guy that fires arrows all on the screen at the same time, which was hilarious. And at least you could kill Pipsqueak, the rest of the gang were indestructible which wasn't very fair. My best memory was playing this game at a friends house when we were both 13 and he said he'd heard that when you finish the game you get to see the Mermaid's bare naked upper body. I told him no way but I helped him finish the game (without the guide) and when he saw that Annie had no discernible "lady parts" to speak of he got really upset. Young boys and their hormones, lol. :)
  116. StormNationZ4599: I beat Goonies II thanks to the strategy guide!!
  117. CaptainFoufeu: I never played this as a kid, but my best friend could start a new game and beat it in just a few hours. I play it now on my Android emulator. However, the game is still hard for me, as I always get lost. But I tap all walls with both fist and hammer. I do enjoy it because it is fun. Luckily, I use a multitude of Game Genie codes to help me out somewhat. I use JohnNES emulator for Android, my choice for best NES emulator, as well as the JohnSNES, JohnN64, JohnGBC, which is for both original Game Boy and GB Color. The emulator has unlimited selections, but with manual input. (one time entry, then the codes are saved for future use.) For codes, i found that the best and most comprehensive site is http://bsfree.shadowflareindustries.com/index.php This is for all your cheating needs for all systems and code devices. Copy paste the codes and descriptions for quicker entry. I'm not advertising, just giving suggestions of my favorites.
  118. Nasorean: When I played this as a kid I found every item and every kid but one! I could never find him and finally beat the game with a game genie code. I remember going straight to Annie, opening the cage, and being completely unsatisfied at the ending. It really is much more gratifying to beat the game using skill and not cheating. I may have to follow your suggestion and use the players guide to finally get that feeling of satisfaction. Thanks for sharing your video. :)
  119. Chemical: This is a personal thing, but I truly appreciate your extra bit of information including the other available Goonies games. I played a game at my grandmothers house almost 30 years ago, that I could never remember the name of, and have been trying to remember for many years. Since I was very young when I played it I also had no idea what game system I was playing on. Turns out that it was Goonies on the Commodore 64! Now I can track it down and play it again, all thanks to you! Thank you!
  120. GenerationGapGaming: Oh wow man that is awesome! Glad this helped you remember.
  121. The Bagging and Boarding Bad Boy: I always thought it was called Goonies II because it was a sequel to the movie haha.
  122. Mulder & Scully: Hell nah
  123. Daniel Rios: Rygar also had a kick ass yo yo
  124. Daniel Rios: So glad your page was on my recommended list
  125. Jim Neegs: This game is awesome! I couldn't beat it as a kid either, just got stuck somewhere and couldn't progress.... beat it years later thanks to gamefaqs! If you can't get enough Goonies 2 check out Dr. Chaos, not quite as good, but it plays just like it!
  126. Michael D: This video kept popping up in my recommended, so I gave in and clicked dammit!!! lol. What a great video, simple yet in-depth too. Great template you got going on brother, keep it up!
  127. WhatWereTheyThinking: Ouch what do you do?
  128. Jono Topia: You should make a video like this for the original 1989 arcade strider.
  129. Tyler Young: Yo noid also used a yoyo
  130. Hdofu Fox: The sequel to a game we never got.
  131. Gene Quagmire: Almost subscribed, but that hat pointed out to me you are from the wrong side of the mountains. Oops! :p (I'm literally a descendant of the McCoys)
  132. GenerationGapGaming: Lol fair enough Ryan. I'm no kin to devil ansell though
  133. robertmon3: 12:25,12:31. This one is mine and im taking it back. Im takin em all back
  134. spiderprime: That reporter at the end of the game is probably Clark Kent. lol
  135. GenerationGapGaming: Plot twist lol
  136. FallicIdol: I've always loved this game.
  137. Kattywampus: This is a genuinely great video.
  138. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks so much! Appreciate you taking time to comment.
  139. Raymond Phillips: New to your channel. Awesome review and it's good to see someone keeping NES alive! 👍
  140. Raymond Phillips: You're welcome 👊
  141. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks so much for the kind words Raymond. Welcome to G3 man!!!
  142. Raymond Phillips: This game was very hard back in the day! I never could beat it. After watching this I dusted off my old Nintendo and want to give it another try!
  143. Wolfanoz: Just for the music alone of this game was amazing. Great vid, bud!
  144. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks so much man. Really appreciate you taking time to watch and comment
  145. Tommi Marjakoski: Great Video. I rented this in a galaxy far away, something is very special about this game. Unable to put my finger on it, must be the whole package with the slow version of her song and the design. I didn't get too far but nice to see someone does. Guess i was too young and stupid.
  146. GenerationGapGaming: I dont think you were too young and stupid. I didn't make it far as a kid either lol
  147. TeknoMaX: My cousin kept talking about how Goonies II was better than the first one when we were like 10. I always thought he must have been playing a knock-off game since I knew there wasn't a second movie (knock-offs like Mario 7, Mario 13 and so were quite common back in the day). I'm 35 and just realized this was the game he was taking about... Btw, that mulletboy dude is on the cover art for Konami World, in the upper right corner... And BTW2, there was a SECOND Konami World that was much, much better. You started as Konami Man, but could power up and morph into iconic characters from Contra, Castlevania, Goemon... And a weird baby that I don't know where he came from...
  148. GenerationGapGaming: That's awesome about a second konami man game. I will have to try to find one on Ebay. thanks for the tip.
  149. Light ONE39: Did you just tell me to find pony boy at the very end of your video? 👌🤣 Thx Ambassador Kanomi for that last minute advice/challenge. I guess I'm just to new here or something...maybe this is a reoccurring thing for every video. 🤷‍♂️
  150. GenerationGapGaming: Yeah I just started the mullet boy challenge a couple videos ago lol. Thought it would add a fun little element to the videos. Hope you enjoyed the video!
  151. Fwo Bebe: I beat this game as a kid, in one glorious long summer vacation. It took me forever to find the ladder. I triple-checked every door in the whole game before I found it in one of the rooms in the underwater area.
  152. Leon James: Same.
  153. Zazzaro703: Used to play co-op goonies with my brother and sister back in the 80s when we were all young kids. Also had goonies 2 for NES and always thought it was just the sequel to the commodore game I had. Loved both games.
  154. EURIPODES: In the age of movie remakes I'm surprised and relieved they haven't done a remake of Goonies. They would never be able to do it justice for us 80's kids.
  155. Bob Stewart: Mullet boy, 😂😂😂😂😂💩. Had to go back and find him! First time watcher because I’ve kept this game from my original collection as I’m a super-fan of the movie. Never finished the game because I didn’t know the map/locator existed. Great tips, especially for the adventure rooms. Thanks for reviewing. New subscriber.
  156. PSVR America: Cool. I have never beat this game but I do own it. 👍🏻
  157. Marc Baker: After how badly Konami treated Kojima in recent years, Konami Man deserves to be slapped. #FucKonami
  158. Skyrous: I owned this game back in the day. Had no clue what to do until I got that strategy guide which I bought for Zelda. I never would have beaten this game without it.
  159. Dalek Prime: THIS!!!! This was my go to game when I was a kid! I used to have the whole thing memorized to where I could guide friends over the phone where to go/what to do!!!
  160. Retro Alliance Gaming: First time watcher! Great video ans channel my friend. You earned a sub. Im gonna do a playthough of this on our channel soon
  161. Jago: You are one of my favorites here on Youtube!! You always impress me with the quality of the videos along with how complete of a job you always do. Keep up the good work you have a subscriber for life:)
  162. Michael Boulette: Man I loved that game!
  163. Joel Rose: This was one of my favorite games as a kind on the NES. I remember picking it out at Children's Palace for my birthday- which actually would have been 31 years ago today, actually! Even though the Front/Back map system confused me, I played through it as a kid. Funny thing is, until I saw your video, I don't know if I ever realized Ma Fatali was even in the game!
  164. Luis Reyes: Thank goodness i had the Nintendo Player's Guide to help me through some of Nintendo's challenging games, especially Goonies II. I'm surprised that copies of the Holy Grail of hint books are still available, for a price.
  165. Speedy: I always thought mama Fratelli's twitchy face was more resembling Ethan from H3H3.
  166. Boodah Wompwomp: I remember getting the original Goonies back in the 80's but I never knew about Goonies 2.
  167. theblocksays: "OUCH, what do you do!?" My childhood LOL!
  168. WarlockX4: 12:26. Found mullet boy on the cover of the Konami man manual.
  169. Finn MacCool: I must have played 100 different NES games as a kid, but for some reason I never played this one. After watching this I wish I had.
  170. Jack Imhoff: i played and beat this game back in the this my favorite games from the nes.
  171. Ronmower: This game is somewhat underrated. I enjoyed this game as a kid, and I also did not beat this game as a kid, but rather beat it back in 2016 with cheats and YouTube tutorials lol. Awesome review. And yes Jay the NES Addict is awesome.
  172. abyss: _LOVEDDDD_ this game! was my favorite growing up, prolly 'cause i had the official guide (so it didn't feel impossible). i only saw goonies 1 in the arcade *once* , and i thought i must be dreaming! i was an avid arcade goer back then, but this one cabinet was just next to a second game in some random clothing store! btw on II if you got stuck with mama fratelli on the wrong ledge, you were basically screwed out of reaching the ending (for that life at least) ;p
  173. abyss: interesting you didn't experience the mama fratelli beat down i seem to remember from childhood! i think i might've been sandwiched in between her and another baddie. at least one of the baddies was shooting arc-ing projectiles from a floor higher than i was, but i can't remember if it was mama. anyway, i'm pretty sure she spawns on either of the last couple floors, so i might've caught her in a different place that go-'round. i do remember at least one playthrough where i didn't see her at all, so yeah the spawning was weird w/ her i suppose
  174. The Official House of Karloff 1985: Any chance yould review Castlevania II: Simon's Quest? Would love to hear your thoughts on this underrated classic.
  175. GreyHulk2: The Atari 2600 Pac-Man sounds seemed to be stock sound effects for decades in Hollywood and other places. If you see someone playing a game in an old movie or TV show it almost always sounds like Atari 2600 Pac-Man no matter what the game or system.
  176. Arthur Mercado: I noticed that mullet kid on the cover box of Konami Wai Wai World @ 12:30
  177. Qun Mang: Just had to watch the Goonies 'R' Good enough videos (yes, there are two, or rather two parts!) after this. So much talent in those videos including several wrestlers, the Goonies themselves, and even the Bangles before they were well known- apparently Cyndi Lauper's opening act at the time. A comment in the second video mentions one of the wrestlers at the end trying to get into a car (to make an escape)- that car was not part of the act but a surprised bystander- lol! To the game, I remember it and played it a few times but never got really far. Like G^3, I also remember being surprised at the first game showing up in a Playchoice-10 machine. Finally, not having watched too many videos here, I did not know about "mullet boy"- I was just like, "WTH is that photoshopped head doing in that flyer(?) artwork??" :D
  178. Steven Turner: Loved it. I was 13 in 1987 and grew up with all the now- classics for NES. I was a big fan of the action - adventure genre and this was certainly one of my 10 favorite games.
  179. Tim Cantrell: I used to rent this one all the time too
  180. Ty Webb: The Official Nintendo Players guide was my childhood.
  181. Chris Grenon: this was one of the few games i could beat as a kid. i actually had no idea what i was doing or what i was supposed to do, over time i just painstakingly explored everything until i beat it. i didnt even know that i was supposed to be looking for the kids... how can this game really be THAT hard if i could figure it out without any understanding of what the objectives were?
  182. Josh G.: This was my first NES game I owned.
  183. downscale: Awesome video Tyler! I'm glad to see this game getting some love. Keep up the great work! Love your channel!
  184. DynamicThreads: OUCH! WHAT DO YOU DO?
  185. necronut plays: You didn't know you needed to hear it, until you do. Here's Cyndi Lauper's Goonies r Good Enough mixed with the NES version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZNjDP0koEs
  186. jony fish: back in the day in a unsigned little store in a little mall, I found a bootleg 23 in 1 game cartridge for my NES from Japan and the first goonies was on it....good game. At that time, a 1 in 23 was AMAZING and then I remember 100 in 1 being available but too expensive. Great channel man....
  187. djpee25: Mmmm? Ok thanks.Come to think of it,i dont remember seeing the Dragons,Ma Fratelli, and some of the screens you showed!!!??? And i finished the game already! Mandella effect? I still have the game so i’ll give it another go to see for myself! Great video👍🏻
  188. thisisJim85: The way the agent in that film is holding the controller is not that far off from how old school arcade players would play on console. My dad glued a nes controller down to play Galaga on the nes when I was a kid.
  189. Nol Urban: Should've got him an NES Advantage 😉
  190. Ed Dunn: Probably my favorite NES games of all time. I use to draw maps for my friends in elementary school cause I actually beat the game. Goonies 1 I knew about because the arcade version was at Chuckie Cheeses, man..those were the days
  191. Knightmonx: sound from is pac man is considered public domain so they don't have to pay a royalty to the game makers the actors are using.
  192. GenerationGapGaming: That makes sense
  193. Spider Mcgavenport: The Official Nintendo Player's Guide Rygar was my favorite, and go to for the Konami Gradius "Full Option" command!
  194. Jeremy Watson: My best memory of Goonies 2 was beating it I was 10 years old had been playing it on and off for 2 years hadn't found more than 4 Goonies I found an area that I hadn't seen before had to go left the system on for 3 days and when I finally found Annie The Mermaid I screamed the hardest game I had played to that point in my life and it was over. So I hit reset and went again I never did find the candle though here's a challenge for you play it candleless
  195. GenerationGapGaming: Oh wow a candleless run seems crazy lol
  196. Carl B: I loved this game as a kid. Got it the Christmas it came out. Was utterly obsessed with it. I also liked Dr. chaos, which was the same type.
  197. 7th AngelAD: The C64 game looks so familiar! I played the C64 and IBM-PC back in the 80’s before getting a Nintendo. That song is unforgettable! I had to get it on iTunes! 😆 This review is good enough for me, Tyler!
  198. GenerationGapGaming: Glad it is goooooood enooooooough for you too lol
  199. Matt Scott: Mullet boy is at 14:51
  200. Kouhei Coppola: I have the original cart to this and have been able to finish it within 30 minutes. I have quite a bit of the game memorized from when I played this back in the day.
  201. TheRicFactor: This is one of my favorite NES games of all time. I beat this game without a guide, but then again it probably took me at least 20-30 hours. I remember having so much difficulty finding the last Goonie all because i missed one hidden door. I still play this game quite often and can get through it rather quickly now. I think I still have most of it memorized. I played it so much the in game map actually still makes sense to me!
  202. Marlon lawrence: What's the music across the whole video. ? 😃
  203. Roger Louttit: My cousin Dennis used to play NES games with the controller upside down like that. He said it was easier to play that way than the normal way.
  204. Roger Louttit: +Greg Lemieux bonus fact.. he didn't need to modify the guitar at all. He can play right play handed as well, but he opts for the left handed style out of preference.
  205. Greg Lemieux: +Roger Louttit excellent. I'm happy to see the one's who know what's up are on their game. I'm aware of the fact he played a right handed guitar modified for his personal preference. I was waiting for those in the know to indulge my fancy. 😎 you are the best
  206. Roger Louttit: +Greg Lemieux not really no. His right handed guitar was heavily modified to be used for left handed people. He didn't actually flip the right hand guitar and played it as it was.
  207. Greg Lemieux: Jimmy Hendricks did the same thing with his guitar.
  208. Jonathan Lippe: I have fond memories of Goonies II. And yeah the music was awesome.
  209. skulletor: I had that game as a kid, such great memories...
  210. TheSpiral01: You made me laugh with that,” tuck it in bed at night”, and that so sweet vinyl record scratch sound. Me Laugh = Me Subscribe! Nice job!
  211. President Snow: I played this game as a kid for countless hours. I discovered and memorized every secret in the game and completed it many times.
  212. 4lifejeph: A YouTube video that's not full of cursing is like seeing a golden unicorn floating on rainbow cloud.
  213. Jeff McKenzie: Played many years ago. Good game. Great video. Just subscribed. Look forward to next video.
  214. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks Jeff! Welcome to G3 man.
  215. Rєαl Ɓєηנαмιllιση: The NES was home to a lot of bizarre titles, Monster Party, Street Fighter 2010, and this game. I think it's why I love going back to it so much.
  216. Shawn Flanagan: Loved this game as a kid. Played it for hours and hours. I did not have the guild, however the kid next door did, and I so read from it. It was the only way I won. I am still able to win. Now I can do it in 4 or 5 hours.
  217. Shawn Flanagan: +GenerationGapGaming thanks. So much. The truth is this is the only game I ever beat. Thanks for the video. Really enjoyed it.
  218. GenerationGapGaming: Impressive Shawn for sure. It can be quite difficult to navigate this game.
  219. Jeffrey Wittenhagen: Mullet Boy Wai Wai World! Haha
  220. azcafe moto: Great video. Love goonies 2.
  221. Beer Bourbon and Games: MB- 12:27 on the character screen. I actually didnt like the Goonies movie at all and before this never knew the game existed. Game looks really fun though! I really want to play Konami Man!
  222. Beer Bourbon and Games: +GenerationGapGaming I think its called castlevania 3 haha
  223. GenerationGapGaming: Correct on mullet boy. I know right? I am gonna find me a copy of the Konami Man game.
  224. J P: Amazing game, one of my top 10 as a child. I had that players guide. it was so EPIC. I miss the good ol day of gaming, before the interwebz
  225. GenerationGapGaming: Players Guide is such a great and helpful piece of NES history.
  226. Linda aka the gamergirl: I still being able to going to a rental store and picking up a game to try it out. Great video.
  227. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks Linda!
  228. Kevin Polus: Yes yes yes! Spend so many hours playing this game! Thanks for the flashback. One of my childhood favorites!
  229. Soterion Coil: I played Goonies 2 in my teenage years and Nintendo Power helped me beat it. I ran through it so many times until I felt satisfied. It was a good game and I wish I would have held onto it along with others.
  230. Dustin Paulson: My mom found this at a garage sale back in the late 80s. The label was missing, and someone had written "Goonies 2" on it in it's place. But I played it like crazy and beat it. I passed it on to a friend when I gave them my NES. Truly a classic.
  231. Karl Farming: Very nice! this brings good memories as well as answer questions from when I was a kid, back then we had this game but the japanese version, I managed to get till the underwater areas just by playing blindly, and drawing my own map and such. really good job, I'll try to get this game a go again sometime soon.
  232. Nathan Robinson: Very much like Zelda 2 and Castlevania 2. I loved this game. In fact, I loved all the cryptic BS in NES games!
  233. GenerationGapGaming: Exactly. I love all that quirky stuff too lol
  234. Kevin Brennan: Mullet boy is with Konami characters
  235. GenerationGapGaming: Correct Kevin! Strong work dude and thanks for watching.
  236. Brian Reagles: Another great video. I just love all the history you provide of our childhood. My son and I continue to watch all your videos. Thanks Tyler.
  237. GenerationGapGaming: You are welcome Brian. Really happy it brings you and your son together.
  238. Joe Merkel: Goonies 2: one of the most underrated games of all time
  239. Ty Webb: Absolutely
  240. GenerationGapGaming: definitley agree Joe.
  241. NES ADDICT: Now I need to beat this game! Awesome video! I'm going to have to watch it again later to find mullet boy!
  242. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks Jay. I will warn you it can be quite a frustrating game lol
  243. Atle Kristiansen: At the end of the game, the news reported that Annie was resqued and that the Fratellis was arrested. But they missed the bigger story: The fact that mermaids actually exists. Ok, this comment was based on The Irate Gamer's review of the game...
  244. GenerationGapGaming: Lol. Good point about the mermaid logic.
  245. Starscreamlive: I got this game for Christmas the year I got my NES. Super Mario and Goonies II. Best Christmas ever!
  246. GenerationGapGaming: That does sound like a solid Christmas!!!
  247. Soterion Coil: I had Super Mario/Duck Hunt, Hogan's Alley and Spy Hunter. Would have traded Hogan's Alley and Spy Hunter for Goonies II!
  248. Heather Kramer: I beat this one back in the day without a guide. It took a long time to do though and it basically came down to just trying everything I could everywhere to find secret doors.
  249. Ty Webb: That’s impressive
  250. GenerationGapGaming: Most impressive Heather. Lots of dedication to beat it without a guide.
  251. JLuv81: Awesome video buddy! I grew up with this game and I never beat it. You inspired me to try again!!! Love it. I also have a repro of Goonies on an NES cart I got at Too Many Games.
  252. JLuv81: +downscale Yes!! I go every year so hope to see you there one day!🤗
  253. JLuv81: +GenerationGapGaming We have great taste!!😉
  254. downscale: I feel the same way! I'm definitely going to play this one again! Also "Too Many Games" in Oaks, PA? I was there too! Great convention!
  255. GenerationGapGaming: I knew you would love this video cause I know you love the music!!!! Thanks Jluv!
  256. SoulPusher: Somehow I always conflated Annie the Mermaid with Andy the red head from the movie. As a kid I thought they really screwed up the story on that one lol. Oddly, and I'm not bragging, because I don't have a clue how, but Goonies 2 was the first video game I ever beat (8 years old), even before Super Mario Bros. I tried playing it again as an adult and I'm like WTF? The game is way harder than I remember.
  257. GenerationGapGaming: It is a hard game for sure dude lol.
  258. SeibRazib: *Love this game* . Second only to Zelda, and barely beating out Kid Icarus. Dig your channel!
  259. SeibRazib: +GenerationGapGaming thank you... you got a new sub!
  260. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks so much for the kind words.
  261. K2 Barnes: How did I miss this game growing up? I have great memories of Goonies the film and renting NES games as a child of the 80’s. I still haven’t played this game. I might just have to get me a copy someday.
  262. GenerationGapGaming: I only saw it at my local video store to rent. I never saw it anywhere to buy so I understand why you may not have seen it. It is fun, but it might be strange playing it for the first time based on today's gaming standards lol
  263. NORWAY NORWAY: I just LOVE this game it is ONE of my favorite games of all times
  264. Question Block Gaming: I owned this game on my NES, but I never understood it as a kid, because I got a lot of my NES games second-hand from a family member that owned a rental store, so I never had a manual. I had also never seen the Goonies movie, so the only nostalgia I have for this game is that it's a super difficult game about a movie I'd never seen- and I assumed the same as you, that it was a sequel to the movie. Fantastic video by the way! It definitely shed some light on a mysterious game from my childhood that I'd always wondered about!!
  265. GenerationGapGaming: That is so awesome your family owned a rental store to pass down games to you. I would have never got anything done other than games and movies if I were you lol. Glad you enjoyed the video man. Dude you gotta watch Goonies!!!
  266. moe dog: Beat this game many times as a kid . Still have fond memories
  267. moe dog: +GenerationGapGaming no doubt. A lot of stress beating it back in the day . Especially when the game freaks out/crashes .
  268. GenerationGapGaming: Strong work beating it back in the day man.
  269. Patches O'Houlihan: Hey you guuuyyyys. Nice video.
  270. Greg Lemieux: If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball. Patches O'Houlihan is the equivalent of sloth in gonnies, in dodge ball
  271. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks man!!!
  272. Pat Macfarlane: Great video man! Like the others who left comments, I really appreciate all the work you put into it. I never played Goonies II as a kid, but I remember reading about it in The Player’s Guide and thinking: “that game looks hard as hell”! Now I’d like to give it a shot. This one and Rygar after watching your reviews! Looking forward to the next one. In the meantime take care. Thanks again!
  273. Pat Macfarlane: GenerationGapGaming You’re welcome man! God bless and take care.
  274. GenerationGapGaming: thanks Pat for the kind words of support man. Really happy you enjoyed the video.
  275. Lee Fischer: Great vid, very informative! That Guide does look like it would help greatly. At least it would be better than the walk through I looked up for it, it was as confusing enough reading the 20 pages on a phone over and over. If that game either could have been made simpler or at least chopped in half maybe I'd like it a heck of a lot more, even though you do feel like the heavens part and a band of light shines down on you after you pass it!
  276. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks Lee! Yeah this game can be very frustrating and overwhelming, but the guide at least gives you reassurance you are heading in the right direction.
  277. Bio Metal X: Awesome video!!! I`m 40 years old, so it`s so cool watching your videos. We definitely have the same taste in NES games. I love Rygar, Friday the 13th, and definitely Goonis 2. I loved the movie and remember going to my friends house and playing Goonis 2. I remember liking it a lot better when I got the shoes that made you run faster and the ones that made you jump higher. So cool. I`m always hoping Nintendo will come out with some brand new side scrollers for games like Kid Icarus, Battletoads, and maybe a Ninja Gaiden 4 would be cool. Thanks for the cool videos!!!
  278. GenerationGapGaming: Yeah dude it does sound like we have similar tastes for sure. I would love some updated platformers on the Switch since retro games are so hot right now.
  279. Chad Kobylenski: My "Goonies II" would have to be either Wizards and Warriors or Mega Man 1. I used to rent those games quite a bit growing up, but never owned them as a kid. It wouldn't be until many years later when I would purchase the Mega Man Anniversary Collection and a copy of Wizards and Warriors where I would finally have my own versions of those games. Although, I do remember renting Goonies II several times as a kid as well. I never made it far in the game, because I didn't know what to do most of the time, but I never stopped trying.
  280. Chad Kobylenski: +GenerationGapGaming Same here...I remember playing it for the first time when I was 7 years old (I think). I loved the game from the very first time I played it and it was one of the first games I purchased when I started to look online for video games several years ago. I also own Ironsword, which is another game that I like, though it does have a few more flaws than the first Wizards and Warriors game. (The continue system in the game seems a bit screwed up, and the glitch in the first part of the water realm is annoying.)
  281. GenerationGapGaming: Chad I absolutely love Wizards and Warriors!!! I am sure I will do a secrets and history video of it someday.
  282. Felix Adler: Alright, Alright, you win. I started watching your videos during your top 5 or top 10 favorite underrated NES games sometime ago. Now you keep showing up on my suggested list and I keep watching. There is something charismatic about your videos that I just keep watching and enjoying. So needless to say I subscribed finally. Keep up the good work Tyler.
  283. Felix Adler: +GenerationGapGaming glad to be a part of it!
  284. GenerationGapGaming: Lol Thanks Felix. You are officially welcomed to G3!!!
  285. Howie: I like the way you cover the history of the game. I didn't know there was a famicon game. Now I'm going to pick it up from eBay. Good job.
  286. Howie: +GenerationGapGaming No problem. You really do good work. I would say that the avgn has equal or better competition. Your not negative. Your informative. Hope you do more NES games. Like the WWF games. Superman and Batman.
  287. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks so much Howie. Glad you enjoyed the video man.
  288. The Eastside Show: The Goonies II is one of my all time favorite NES games
  289. The Eastside Show: pretty much. We used to take turns playing Punch Out, The Goonies 2, and such. We even took turns playing the NES Maniac Mansion and other games
  290. GenerationGapGaming: Sounds like we had similar video game upbringings lol
  291. The Eastside Show: No problem! Your channel has great potential and I basically grew up with these games back in the day. Me and my cousins would play Nintendo all the time
  292. GenerationGapGaming: Glad you are enjoying the content man! Thanks for taking time to comment.
  293. The Eastside Show: Thank you! I just discovered this channel not too long ago and I really like how this channel does video games and such
  294. Mr. M.: I never had a problem beating most games back in the day. I think Maniac Mansion and Astyanax are the only ones I still haven't.
  295. Back in the Day Gamer: I just finished Rygar, now I guess I'll move to this one lol. I never use vids or play throughs to beat games since they didn't exist back in the day. However I still own my original Player's Guide and have no qualms about using it to beat a game. Rygar was way easier than this one! Nicely done again
  296. GenerationGapGaming: Glad you finished Rygar dude! Great game for sure and yes Rygar is much easier to navigate than the Fratelli's hideout lol.
  297. Toby Bonwell: I will have to revisit this game after seeing your video. I had a copy and only beat it after three years.
  298. GenerationGapGaming: Sweet! Let me know if you ending up beating it Toby.
  299. Jeff Davis: Were any of the Konami game manuals in color? I didn't have any.
  300. GenerationGapGaming: I'm not sure Jeff. It probably was all Konami NES manuals
  301. NES 83’: The music in the NES game brings back great memories. I always watch the Goonies when the weather gets cool outside. I also remember seeing the commodore version and had a blast playing that as a kid. Mullet boy 12:25.
  302. GenerationGapGaming: I'm jealous you got to play the C64 version lol. I need to try to find it. And you are correct on mullet boy!!
  303. William Pugh: Good job again mate . Love the video and appreciate the work u put into this. Can’t wait for more. Take care up in WV dude
  304. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks again William. Always glad you enjoy it. You take care as well.
  305. truth buster: I like some of the music that you play in the background of your videos. What are they?
  306. Bear Oldfarm: While I also do enjoy the background music, I must admit that it does become quite tiresome to listen to the same track through the whole video. You should put some more tracks in to create variation. The Gaming Historian is quite good at that. I loved The Goonies II back then, so it was quite a nostalgic ride to watch this video! ❤️
  307. truth buster: +GenerationGapGaming dude, it's awesome. I wish that you can release it. Your channel is awesome too, dude.
  308. GenerationGapGaming: I play an 80s synthwave track I purchased the license to on the Envato Market. Thanks for watching!!!
  309. Trebor Ironwolfe: Nice video, thanks for the flashbacks! :> I know you've featured various old-school Atari games in your videos, but would love to see your take on some of my childhood 2600 favorites such as "Popeye", "Joust", "River Raid", and (lol...) *"Porky's Revenge"*. ;p
  310. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks man! I definitely wanna tackle some 2600 games in the future. Man I loved River Raid!!!
  311. Ryan Ulrich: I remember this game in my collection. I was too young to understand the game play but now I think I'll give it another try. Great video!!!!
  312. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks Ryan! Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you finally get a chance to beat it.
  313. Matt Desrochers: Great video as always!!! I got my copy of Goonies II in 1988. I still have it. I beat the game that summer and I’m sure I used the Player’s Guide. I still have G2 (as well as all my original NES games as well as my Player’s Guide. Too many great memories to ever let them go. Cheers, Tyler!
  314. GenerationGapGaming: thanks Matt! I knew you would love this video. I remember you talking about Goonies II.
  315. Duke Togo: I lost a whole weekend on this game. We rented it on a Friday, and had to return it Sunday afternoon. We never beat that cryptic pain in the ass of a game! It wasn't till I was in college, in 1996, that I beat it.
  316. GenerationGapGaming: It is not an easy game for sure.
  317. blainethemono19: Loved this game, so underrated! My only issue was getting the candle; even when you hear about a “testy old lady”, how the hell do you know to punch the lady 5 times?! Always got stuck there but loved the game.
  318. GenerationGapGaming: exactly. why would you ever think you need to hit her 5 times lol.
  319. Ruben Tristan: Holy crap I had this game but never beat it. My uncle bought it for me for Christmas when it came out. Great video!
  320. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks Ruben! I never knew of anyone who could beat it back then either.
  321. darkcoeficient: This video is very good. My cousin had this game in the 90s but sadly no guide. Very criptic indeed.
  322. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks so much man!
  323. sgtlegacy7: I don't know what it is about these classic games that intrigue me so much compared to today's modern games. Maybe it's the memories of being frustrated playing them at the time but somehow couldn't get away from them, or the memories you had of the times growing up. Anyhow love the back story and tips on the game, if I still had it I would finally conquer Goonies 2! Great stuff👍
  324. GenerationGapGaming: thanks man! I think nostalgia has something to do with it, but I truly feel these games are more fun to me because they aren't so linear and have more of a treasure hunt style of play that could keep you entertained and frustrated lol for a long time. Thanks for commenting.
  325. Nefarious Wes: Damn! I've been playing this game since '88 and I never knew you could throw the boomerang in multiple directions! I relied on the Official Nintendo Player's Guide to beat this game back in the day. Hell, I busted it out the last time I played this game on stream because I had completely forgotten where one item was. I have notes written in it from ten-year old me. Present me really appreciates that! Oh man, I have Wai Wai World. It kinda sucks. One thing worth mentioning is to pay attention to which way Mikey is facing in the corner of the first person sections. It's crucial to navigating between the front and back maps, and once you realize this, the game becomes a lot less disorienting. Great video, dude!
  326. GenerationGapGaming: Yeah dude I just came about the boomerang thing by accident. I was trying to see if I could throw a bomb while jumping and when I did that combo of buttons in mid air it threw the boomerang in that direction. And it worked for any other direction I tried too. It was cool but I assumed others figured that out too lol. So cool you have your own notes in your guide from when you were a kid. Thanks as always for watching dude. Always enjoy your comments.
  327. Robert McDonnell: Great video! This game is an all time classic.
  328. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks so much Robert. Glad you enjoyed it!!!
  329. Mark M: Nice video man! Now I think I will grab a copy this weekend and play some Goonies 2. I have not beat it because I never owned it. But I will.
  330. Mark M: +GenerationGapGaming thanks, I will but one but now that I remember, I have one in one of those multi-carts. But I still need a copy for my collection. Keep on gaming man!
  331. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks Mark. You should be able to find a copy pretty easily. Good luck!!
  332. Guillermo S: I just got the this game last week. So happy I'm not the only one that likes it.
  333. GenerationGapGaming: I'm glad you like it too man. Thanks for commenting.
  334. DarkTetsuya: I liked this one back in the day though I don't remember if I ever beat it back then. But in recent years, I did finally finish it because I picked up a copy of the Famicom original for 10 bucks off ebay! If you thought the passwords were crazy in the US version, the JP one uses all 'katakana' Japanese characters! so if you have a good enough understanding of Japanese it would definitely be worth checking out! and I definitely had to look at gamefaqs for help navigating the map in some parts, it's super easy to get lost in that game!
  335. GenerationGapGaming: Oh wow I couldn't imagine doing the passwords in Japanese lol.
  336. Reagan Dow: Nice Easter egg of your son? In the picture for the game Konami Man is in!! 😁 it’s Mullet Boy!!
  337. Reagan Dow: GenerationGapGaming - I actually figured that out after I wrote this but I was so tired...I didn’t go back and edit it. It looks like you dude!! Haha. I had a mullet in high school too brother!!
  338. GenerationGapGaming: Not my son lol. That's me as a kid.
  339. FrontDeskMatt: One of my favorites. Proud to say I was able to beat it as a kid, but I will admit I didn't find the Candle or Transceiver until I was an adult.
  340. GenerationGapGaming: Awesome you got to beat it back in the day. I can see why you didn't find the candle on your own for sure lol.
  341. Reagan Dow: I’m so excited to sit down for the day and watch your new video!! This is an event Tyler!!! Thanks for the constant great content man. Have an awesome weekend.
  342. GenerationGapGaming: So glad you are pumped for it. Hope you enjoy it. You have a great weekend too.
  343. humpy1980: Great Video!! I remember getting this game for my Birthday in ‘89. It was by far the hardest and confusing game I had ever played at the time. The Game Genie couldn’t even help me lol
  344. humpy1980: GenerationGapGaming Your welcome! I love your vids. They bring a lot of nostalgia to me. Your southern accent reminds me of my best friend from my childhood. We would waste the summer days playing NES and SNES games.
  345. GenerationGapGaming: Dude you make a great point that even the game genie cant help lol. Thanks for commenting
  346. Pragmatik: These secrets and trivia are gooood enoooougggh! Also, man you did great! I love getting that Cindi Lauper song stuck in my head!
  347. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks dude. That song will never leave me I believe.
  348. Eric Alvarado: I've never played it but now I want to! Lol thanks G3!
  349. GenerationGapGaming: You're welcome Eric. Let me know what you think if you play it.
  350. Big Rudd: Fantastic job of breaking this game down. I hope to see another classix gameplay from you soon.
  351. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks dude! Glad you enjoyed it.
  352. Wayne Edge: I remember this game. I also remember wondering what happened back then what happened. I knew for awhile before your video about it. Fun game.
  353. Wayne Edge: +GenerationGapGaming yw man.
  354. GenerationGapGaming: It is a great game Wayne. Thanks for commenting man.
  355. Richard Vanrich: The Nintendo Players guide was a must have back in the day. It was like $25 back then which was expensive as a kid but worth it. You kept it until the pages were falling apart. Helped me beat Goonies II and Rygar (also had awesome music). Nice video!
  356. GenerationGapGaming: Thanks man. I wish I found the guide when I was a kid. Can't believe I never saw it cause I know I would have got it.
  357. Doom Guy: Castlevania has similar artwork in it's manual as well. I kinda miss the cheap feeling manuals used to have. Well I guess I should say I miss game manuals lol.
  358. GenerationGapGaming: Carl I agree 100% man!
  359. Carl B: I would pay extra money just to have manuals again. I hate how I buy a game, since I refuse to purchase digitally, and there is an empty holder for the manual in the box. Sad, sad days.
  360. GenerationGapGaming: Dude I definitely miss game manuals too. I guess we are just old and nostalgic lol.
  361. Jerry Mclaughlin: I enjoyed the video! As for finding out more info about Satoe Terashima, maybe check with Jeremy Parish and his Retronauts website? He does solid work, especially for tracking down retro history tidbits such as developers from back in the day. (Not meant to be a plug but rather an informational referral)
