President Moon's Senior Citizen Policies
The newly launched Moon Jae-in administration has presented senior citizens' welfare policies with an emphasis on joint growth for the public as a whole. President Moon pledged during his campaign to offer payment of 300 thousand won in basic pension, cut down on medical costs and expand jobs. We hear what the public had to say in response, and turn to experts for their projections and analyses.

5 Years of Energy-Independent Villages
The world is searching for solutions to climate change and the energy crisis. Since 2012, the city of Seoul has been supporting local communities that increase energy independence by producing energy while cutting down on use through measures such as solar power generators and LED lighting. To mark the June1 Environment Day, we examine the major energy independent villages of Seoul to check on their accomplishments and potential.

Anchon, a Village of Happy Retirees
With the impending retirement of the Baby Boomer generation, interest in post-retirement life is growing. Anchon Village in Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do Province is cited as a successful retirees' village. Retirees from various backgrounds have gathered here, including teachers, artists and researchers. They tend to farms in beautiful natural surrounds, communicate and publish their own newspaper, and engage in diverse artistic activities to enjoy the 2nd stage of their lives. We take a close at Anchon, the village of happy retirees.

Traveling to Forests to Heal
As we enter the season when the forest greenery is at its peak, more people are heading to the forests as a space for rest and healing. Natural anti-microbial substances emitted by trees decrease stress hormones and boost the immune system, as part of the therapeutic effects of forests reported in scientific literature. 41 healing forests are operated by the Korea Forest Service to make use of the endless effects of forests, and visitors are more than doubling every year. We visit the forests, where nature provides its greatest gift of rest and healing.

문재인 대통령 노인 정책
새로 출범하는 문재인 정부는 더불어 성장으로 함께 하는 대한민국을 기치로 노인 복지 정책을 제시했다. 문 대통령은 선거기간 중 기초연금 30만원 지급, 의료비 절감, 일자리 확대 등 다양한 공약들을 내세웠는데 여기에 대한 국민들의 반응을 들어보고 전문가들의 전망과 진단도 함께 들어본다.

에너지자립마을 5년.. 성과와 전망
기후변화와 에너지 위기에 대응하기 위해 전세계가 방법을 강구하고 있다. 서울시에서는 2012년부터 태양광 발전기, LED조명 설치 등을 통해 에너지소비를 줄이고 생산을 늘려 에너지 자립도를 높여가는 마을공동체를 독려하고있다. 6월 1일 환경의 날을 맞아 서울의 대표적인 에너지자립마을의 활동과 성과 등을 통해 그 실효성을 점검해본다.

행복한 은퇴자 마을, 안촌
인구의 15%를 차지하는 베이비붐 세대의 은퇴가 임박하면서, 은퇴 이후의 삶에 대한 관심이 크게 높아지고 있다. 성공적인 은퇴자 마을로 꼽히는 경남 밀양의 안촌 마을. 이 마을에는 교사, 예술가, 연구원 등 다양한 직군의 퇴직자들이 터를 잡았다. 아름다운 자연 속에서 농사를 짓고, 함께 마을 신문을 만들며 교류하며, 다양한 예술 활동을 통해 제 2의 삶을 알차게 꾸려가고 있는데... 행복한 은퇴자 마을, 안촌의 삶을 들여다보자.

치유의 공간 - 숲으로 떠나는 여행
연중 가장 푸른 숲이 우거지는 계절, 휴식과 치유의 공간으로 숲을 찾는 사람들이 늘고 있다. 숲에서 뿜어져 나오는 천연 항균 물질이 스트레스 호르몬을 감소시키고, 면역력을 키우는 등 숲의 치유 효과에 대한 다양한 보고가 이어지고 있는데. 숲의 무한한 효과를 활용하기 위해 산림청에서 운영 중인 치유의 숲은 41개, 방문객은 매년 배 이상 늘고 있다. 자연이 주는 가장 큰 선물, 치유와 휴식이 있는 숲으로 떠나본다.
